A Wish with Wings™ began in 1982 as Texas’ first wish-granting agency. For more than 30 years, they have granted over 1,800 wishes to Texas children fighting life-threatening medical conditions. Health issues make life difficult, especially for young patients. AWWW donors and volunteers help bring happy moments to families in need of good news. They think of it as giving wishes wings.

A Wish with Wings is back for its 7th Annual Kitchens Tour on Saturday, November 17th 2018, from 10AM to 2PM, in the Ryan Place neighborhood of Fort Worth.

This year, our very own agent Karly Johnston, will be one of the kitchens featured on the tour! You can check out her blog here to find out more about her and why she is so passionate about the homes of Ryan Place.

Carol Swanson began her real estate career over 20 years ago working part time as an office manager for an agent. She always loved houses and decorating so after her last daughter was born, she decided to go to work as an assistant for Cecile Montgomery (who is now our very own agent here at Burt Ladner) and Paula White at William Rigg. She worked for them for 5 years before deciding to get her own license, in 2000, and the rest is history!

Everyone has to getaway sometimes. Thats why we made a list of our 5 favorite places that are all within driving distance of the Fort!

We are so excited to announce the Cowtown Ball will be back for its 25th year on Friday, September 28, 2018. The "Life is our Legacy" themed 25th Anniversary celebration will be held at Whiskey Ranch, the new home of the Firestone & Distilling Co., with live entertainment from Diamond Rio, dinner by Reata, Open Bar, Silent & Live Auction, Pig Races, and much more!

The best part is that all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society, an organization that is very near and dear to our hearts. They are on a mission to celebrate more birthdays and free the world from cancer, something almost all of us have been touched by in some way.

Lynette Jensen began her real estate career in 2005 after her oldest child, Dane started college. She had spent her entire career in politics before children and this was the time to make a switch. After a friend suggested real estate as a good fit, Lynette jumped in full force and hasn't looked back for over 13 years!

She has lived in the Tanglewood area since 1991 and this naturally became her favorite group of neighborhoods and where she does most of her business. "The best part of my job is finding a client's ideal home and I have a knack for learning what a buyer wants after the first time showing homes," Lynette shared. Whether she has a buyer who she can help find a dream home for or a seller who she can get creative with marketing plans, Lynette enjoys every side of the business.

Scott Bailey is one of our Burt Ladner agents who will help anyone in need, is always in a good mood, and...will literally drive anywhere his clients want to go! He has done business in and around Fort Worth, in small towns you would never know existed, and everything in between for over 19 years.

Meet Christina Phillips of Park + Eighth, a well-known Fort Worth designer, dog lover, adventure seeker, and the owner of the most fabulous home decor store in town. Her shop is filled with unique finds, both old and new, that you won't find anywhere else. We have all experienced that design hault when we strain to find a statement piece for our home. Park + Eighth's selection will not let you down!

We have seven wonderful open houses this weekend. It is going to be hot so use this open house expo as an excuse to get out of the heat and check out some amazing houses spread around town.

Happy Birthday to you Fort Worth! 169 years ago, fort worth was founded. In it's early days, Fort Worth was called "the place where the West begins" and has since grown in to the home of almost 800,000 who have given the city the new nickname, "The Fort", to more appropriately fit its current urban-esque vibe. Fort Worth will always be a place where history lives from the iconic Stockyard Station developed in the 1900's, our beautiful downtown square, Southside, Thistle Hill, and the list goes on.

Burt Ladner Real Estate's Open House Expo is happening this weekend! Go take a peak at some of our great listings.
