Lisa Looney and Amanda Osterkamp are a mother and daughter team who both have a passion for real estate!
Lisa decided after her three children were grown and off to college that it was time for a career change. After having been a stay-at-home mom, volunteer, and owning her own decorating business she was ready for something that would offer her the opportunity to meet and help new people with their home buying and selling needs...Real Estate seemed like the natural next step.
As for Amanda, she was looking for a change out of the corporate world that would allow her the flexibility and ability to be her own boss while still feeling fulfilled. Her mother, Lisa, had already begun her real estate career and kept encouraging Amanda to come and work with her. She finally said, "YES!" and the rest is history. Previously, Amanda had worked in commercial real estate managing Class A office buildings for CBRE and Crescent Real Estate.
Lisa has now been in real estate for 20 years, she was first licensed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1998! The best part about her job is seeing the excitement on her client's faces when they find their perfect home.
The funniest thing that she has ever seen when showing a client a home would be when she opened a bedroom door and two people were still in bed sleeping! Although it wasn't funny at the time it is now one of her favorite stories and needless to say...she now knocks on all closed doors in a home when showing!
One of her favorite neighborhoods in Fort Worth would have to be Montserrat because she's watched the neighborhood from the very beginning and it's become such a beautiful place to live in Fort Worth. Plus all of her transactions there have been very pleasant!
Her favorite thing to do in Fort Worth is having a night out to dinner in downtown and then on to Bass Hall for a performance. Lisa can't think of a single thing that Fort Worth lacks because it seems like every time she turns around there is something new!
To sum herself up in 5 words she is: friendly, fun, intelligent, outgoing, and sincere.
Amanda has been in various forms of real estate for 17 years and has been licensed for 11! The best part about her job is forming lasting relationships with her clients and the fact that every day is completely different than the last!
The funniest thing she has ever seen when showing a client a home would be the time a Great Dane greeted her and her clients at the door of a home and pushed his way inside when they opened the garage. The seller's forgot to give them a heads up, so you can imagine their surprise! Her client screamed because she was caught off guard and they couldn't stop laughing! The sweet dog was literally the size of a small horse, lol!
Her favorite neighborhood would have to be Walsh and all that it has to offer. She loves the concept of bringing families outdoor with nature and technology. The community events they host are incredible and really allow you to get out and engage with your neighbors and friends. This is how Amanda grew up and loves that this concept is making a come back!
Her favorite thing to do in Fort Worth is riding the mountain bike trails and along the Trinity with her husband and their 8 year old son. If Fort Worth could add ONE business it would have to be a Nordstrom and an avocado bar that served all things avocado!
To sum herself up in 5 words she is: dedicated, loyal, honest, friendly, and positive.
